Brake reach on 70s road bikes

Any idea what the reach on an old bike would be? in my case a Claud Butler Electron, it would have run 27 1/4" wheels (which I don't have hence I can't take a measurement)
I want to fit some dual pivots, and Acor make some bolt throughs with a 52-73mm drop. Reckon they'd fit?

Originally it would probably have been fitted with something like a Weinmann 730 side pull so a deepish drop will more than likely be necessary. Measure from the level of the caliper fixing holes down to the centre of the braking surface of the rim at front and rear. This will tell you what you need.

I'm not sure if I'm going to help or not but here goes.

My late 70's Viscount has 27" wheels and mudguards with Weinman levers and Shimano brakes. The drop on that is about 65mm.

Those brakes will also reach a 700c wheel, if fitted.

However, I've also got a '67 Raleigh RSW and the drop on that one's brakes is 85mm, like a BMX. But it might be the 16x2" fat tyres and thick mudguards that cause the enormous drop.
