1995 (was 1996) Marin Team Titanium totally modern

Here we are again.
Just had a good chance to buy an old Team Titanium from 1995
[was: "1996 (as I can understand reading frame number under BB shell) but it could even be a 1995-ish (if anyone had a good idea, here is number: T6HAC044)."]
Came in a full XTR M952 9 speed group, X517 rims (rear one in rainbow colour ).
I've stripped it down and cleaned with a lot of WD-40 and elbow oil.
It's really amusing how titanium can be cleaned with so little products and how it would shine.

I've had a lot of good modern components, apart from a1998 Rock Shox Sid. Then I build it to ride on

How are you finding it in eight speed mode?

Well after a good ride into the mud I can tell that that fork suit really gorgeous, it doen't affect so much geometry and in steep track you can really feel what happens to your front wheel.
I fear that that single chainring would be a good choice for a well trained bikes and not for me
I feel the sensation I miss a granny ring
Anyway, apart this, it was really perfect ride, I love this frame

Nice one cyb. I found a 9spd cassette was a bit of a squeeze on mine and the chain almost catches the frame. Waht travel are the forks?

I've thought a lot about forks (yes they've a lot of travel but still too hard for my 58kg - maybe 80mm of travel?).
Then I've decided to give up suspensions and getting a rigid fork.
The only one I have, a good one for this build, is a modern one made out of carbon.
I have to put a disk on the front due to a lack of cantis bosses.
