MacRetro Newbies.... Introduce yourself here:

Brilliant! My relatives had a mini burner mag which I asked if I could have - it got thrown in a skip! I was gutted!

We goto Unit23 quite a bit too which is good fun. There's a few outdoor parks now too which are ace!

Do you head to the Factory in Dundee then? My parents live up your way and we keep meaning to head into it but just haven't got round to it yet...

When I was a kid I used to go to the original factory with my mates - good fun.... Funnily enough I got talking to a guy I used to work with and he used to go there too.... small world!

Kids used to skate at the new factory, we'll be heading back for the first time with bikes over winter.

Main reason we don't use the factory much is that Dudhope skate park is pretty good if a little small - it's only a 1/4 mile form our house.

Welcome toolmaker, hope to see you and the fat some day soon, the west coast massive need a few new members to compete with out east coast brethren.

another east coast newbie

Hi all - i've been bogling around for a bit and this is the first of me noticing a MacRetro newbie thread :?
i'm in East Lothian and currently have a GT aggressor, Carrera Vulcan, Raleigh Activator, an Edin Bicycles Cuillin frame and a partially built Diamondback Ascent (1989 with the wonderful smoke finish) - theres a few other things in the scrapheap round by the shed :D - in common with many others i'm returning to 2 wheels after too long a gap and Retrobikes just fits in with my ethos. I've spent less than £50 so far and i'm having lots of fun - my 11yr old is enjoying it too - he's into BMX but is now getting the MTB bug (just got him a specialised P1 frame)
I just need to get fit now :D

just bought a 97 Specialised Hardrock tonight - pick it up on wed eve :D :D :D

Welcome Buzz :D looking forward to seeing some of those projects!

A '97 Hardrock? Ah, my kind of bike :)

And only spent 50 quid so far? That'll soon change... :D

Welcome and hopefully see you out soon.
