Hello all. Rather embarrassingly, I ended up here whilst trawling the net for Rox T-Shirts...

Hi. Found the site through Singletrackworld. Still riding my '97 Kona Explosif which I've owned from new. It's looking a bit worse for wear now so I was thinking of getting it resprayed. I'm having a spot of bother trying to source new decals though. The ones I can find advertised as 97 Explosif are different to mine. The ones on it are identical to the ones in the brochure on here. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi everyone :D ,

found the site just browsing for retro type stuff.

A brief intro, I'm based Lincolnhire Wolds, ride a Specialised Stumpjumper (and retro road bikes) with a full Deore XT group, Mavic rims...all sorts of other stuff, repainted retro orange by Roberts cycles in south London some years ago, they're top guys, paint still mint despite rides in Scotland, Cornwall, Adalucia and the Picos over last 10 years.

Should I ride suspension? Dunno, one things for sure if a bicycle gets too complex I'll ride my other iron horse!

Anyway, that's all for now, so whether you hardtailers, or softees may your wheels run free.

Cheers, Roadking.

Hello people!

I was obsessed with bikes as a teenager and found this place through eBay while looking for a replacement of my nicked Cannondale.

Hi my name is Jamie,

I have been living in Sweden for 1 and half now, I moved from Perth, Western Australia, don't ask why until you have see Swedish women. I have been really in to bicycles since I could ride one, first bike was a Raleigh with a fox decals and box on the handle bars which made fox like noises.

I went through the normal progression of trail MTB riding, to bmxing, to downhill MTB riding then to just plain old commuting and exercising. When I came to Sweden I got given a Grandma Monark 1970's bicycle, then moved up to a pre 2000 DBS MTB which was at least 3inches to small for me. Now I have decided to get back into renovating bicycles, so I found myself a trek 950 singletrack for 60 pounds, which I will start a project thread on soon. I also found a beaten up ITOH Mustang racer with some rust holes in the drop outs which hopefully are repairable.

Recently purchased a Marin Quake which im going to yomp around on whilst I decided to leave 'as is' or make it a little more modern (though that will be after christmas) or another frame and build a 'bitza'

My name is Stef ,I'am a member for almost 2 years now , so it's about time for an introduction.

I started biking in the late 80's , mainly did marathon competitions in Belgium and Europe. Nowadays i'am still on the bike ( and also more wrenching them Wink) but in more relaxing way . I'am also organising low profile GPS-guided long distance and ultra distance marathons throughout Belgium.
more info on ( only in Dutch , need some info , please contact me).

I've ridden alot of bikes . My first bike was a GT Karakoram , quickly followed by a GT RTS 1 , 3 Manitou'z HT ( all cracked ) , Klein Mantra Pro , Santa Cruz Blur , Speci HT M5 and Speci HT Carbon. All of them are gone and replaced by a Moots Rigormootis and a Matt Chester UtiliTiman SS

For the moment none of my retrobikes are ready to see the daylight but i'am working on a XLM '96 (full xtr )and a Speci Steel Sworks 94 ( full XC Pro ).
Recently i've found some nice complete bikes ( Breezer Storm 91, Stumpjumper '91, Bianchi Araneus '91 and a '87 Belgian branded bike named Ludo " Freeway " .
They all are +/-100 % original and just need a good cleanup
So my winternights are fully booked Wink

Hopefully I can start posting complet builds ( now they all are complet collections ) by the end of this year Rolling Eyes
