So you could run a 465mm axel to crown fork on a modern long travel (100-140mm) hardtail but all the the 465s I have seen are mainly for 29ers does this matter? Has anyone else considered such madness?

Salsa CroMoto Grande 29’er
468mm axle to crown
45mm rake

CroMoto 26” Disc Only
445mm axle to crown
41mm rake

445mm will be fine for 26'' wheels
my dad had a set of commencal max max rigids on his specialized a couple years ago, they replaced his rst ones (100mm)
they were fine
they are advertised wrong i think :?
445mm is about right for a 100mm travel fork

edit: far from madness, quite sane!

465mm for big travel frames mate and 440/445mm for 100mm corrected frames ;) a "29er" forks at 465mm will work perfectly as they put those on one of the giant stp's jump bikes
