no French could be good. That's 24Pouces isn't it?

24Pouces on here is French?
Maybe he knows some good builders, then?

he *is* Julie Racing Design :D

Oh.
Maybe I missed that announcement
You learn something new every day on retrobike!

To be honest, I think his bikes are in a totally different league to the other builders you were considering (I saw a Mercian MTB once ) What's Kris' waiting list like, though...?

I'm sure you've got all angles covered (no pun intended) but I always thought some of the Solitudes had unusually steep head tube angles. Lee made for Solitude, I'm sure he's fine, just spec exactly what you want.

I'm having a custom Roberts made at the moment, not sure if Chas has built any 29er's, maybe worth a phone call (they aren't too quick on email response btw, I always phone). Columbus has the new 29er Life tubes out now, and Roberts like using Columbus..

thanks Steve Shand is the guy who has had to back out due to relocation hence this post in the first place unfortunately.

I'm onto Rourke :D

 Oh yes, you wrote that originally - Damn my reading skills

Does it HAVE to be British?
Kris at JRD in France will take on almost anything you can think of:

There's also Le Cadre:

and others.

 I had no idea either, the work looks absolutely fantastic!

Yes, some amazingly beautiful work - that's given me more food for thought anyway...... ;)

Yes super lanky but not going for long cranks. 175 is fine for me. I should have updated this really - I have settled for Edelbikes. Francois is the guy there and the deposit went down this week :D His English is superb, I love the stuff he's done already, it's right up my street, he's listened to what I am after, and the build is scheduled in for April delivery :D Can't wait.

I was wrong BTW julieracingdesign is Kris le Rouge not 24pouces

I was tempted to go with them but the waiting list was a year.
