80's BMX scooters

Going to need help.. mag wheels (if that's what they are) and them Giro things are another world to me 
The grips are AME, the Giro and brakes (calipers and levers) are Odyssey.
Grips could do with replacing, Giro needs a good ol' clean-up..
Cables are totally knack'd.. replacing those will make it make it usable but they have funny things in them and divide into 2.. what kind of alien tech is this??

(I WAS going to try and hook our two inuits up to it and run them on it... but now they are stateside... hmm.. could be a fun project if my Dad hasn't ditched it - 90% sure he hasn't).

I had this about 4 years ago and now wish i hadn't of sold it
I remember they were fun to ride - soft on the tire and not like the new style
if you rode up by the side of one of those big yellow workman pipe you could board slide it like a skateboard
they are like fat birds - fun to ride but yer don't want yer mates to know you ride one
