hi. i have put a shimano SLX front mech with a shimano drive train i have put SLX chain wheels on with a hollow tech B/B. All new. also new chain and rear cassette. The problem was i tightened the cable up on the bike stand thinking it was tight enough. lesson learned turn it upside down on the floor to tighten cables. what was happening was the front mech would not reach the outer /large cog. by the way the solution came from a member on this site. gob smacked at how helpfull the guys on here are.

thanks,i will stick a couple of photo's on when it's done. i know it's not as retro as some of the stuff you guy's have. i hope one of the times to go on a little pedal with you all..
