1.otaining monies by deception, police will arrest but probably wont get anything right away,
2small claims court as a concerned group effort again though will also cost to do,
3rd option pay him polite visit as a group and come away with parts and cash all being well not saying beat him up or hurt him in anyway but the fact that 3/4 people turn up might push him in right direction

only issue with that is has anyone of you met or seen him
 
The name I have is Steven Drain.
Similar to Austen Mclean.
Both sound like Porn Stars.
 
what name was on the bounced chq Jezz ?

was it a stolen cheque or just no funds in the account .
 
Well the cheque was for the Austen name. It was signed just it bounced.

The bank just basically returned it saying "it bounced".

I got in touch with this chap and he apologised, said he would "sort it out".

On a later occasion he offered to swap the xtr cranks and headset. I said no and wanted the sum of money that was originally agreed.

Then it went quiet for a week. Then I chased him and he said he was working on it.

Then quiet ever since.
 
I fear that this will be the last of this incident. I really doubt unles youve paid by paypal we will never see this money/items.

Sad thing is this kills the trust element of trading with members on retrobike. I'm used to sending stuff on delivery of payment (pretty much)

In this case I sent his cheque to the bank with item to him. Bad decision on my part.
