If we do the left side and the starter stands at the dropoffs halfway, with the timer at the bottom and the rider at the top they should be heard. Or we could just use 2 mobile phones/walky talkies as we are in the 21st century

I was going to bring miniKen on the night ride but take it slower - although it would be weather dependant.
