Just picked up this little lot today. Not a bad little stash of mavic. Some of it possibiy originated from a pro team but there is no provenance so that claim should obviously be treated with a pinch of salt.

What to do with it though? Whatever I do it'll be a long term project. The obvious would be a early 90s GAN replica. Maybe I should finally try and source some ZAP.

so what is the 2nd cogset on the left of your picture ? spare cassette on a carrier to go with the spare freehub body ? Are the skewers alloy or steel ends ? nice stash !! thanks Ian

The setup includes a couple fo spare freehub bodies. Not checked the skewers.

Cheers Ed, although you will note that although the mechs are identical the calipers and wheels are not.

Could be a plan. What might you suggest, place a frame in the garden and throw bits at it and build with what lands nearest? Like some kind of retro hoopla?

More horsehoe throwing than hoopla I reckon, see the website of the National Horseshoe Pitchers Association for more details.

Actually, it's amazing what is possible with a bit of practice and the ability to calm your breathing when nervous.

I found another article last night whilst sorting some old Cycle sport mags and this kit would be exact also for a Gan Eddy Merckx Frame from 1995. Will scan and email you a copy later :D
