Show us Ya Citrus Fruit! (Orange Content)

The extra rear brake stop was so I could fit V-Brakes to the frame. The original canti cable stop gives too tight a line into the V-Brake pipe.

It all looks a bit crap, but I am thinking of getting some Cantis to go on the back.

Here's my P7. It's my first full build.
It was covered in a rusty nickel plate, which had started to bubble and no amount of autosol or elbow grease was getting it back.
It was blasted and powdercoated.

I did a ride from Sunderland to Southampton (395 chuffin' miles), 2 weeks ago on a Cyclocross bike and this was my backup bike (hence the skinny tyres).
It rides like a dream on the road and off (with knobbles).

Any suggestions for change gratefully received. I'm still debating decals over stealthy black.

That's lovely in black, shame about the nickel plating, doesn't last forever though.
That's quite some ride too, well done :!:
How about anthracite/charcol/grey decals to keep it shealthy :?:

For what it's worth, here's the first half of my contribution to the thread: My Alu O from about 1990

19" frame - Pace RC-35 obviously
Mavic 517 with Hope suspension hub on the front
Mavic 517 with brand new NOS Hope Mono
Specialized Cannibal 1.8s on it at the moment.
Custom Fuquay stem - Pace/Renthal Sub-130 bars
Dia-Compe SS7 & 3x7 Gripshift - might be x-ray??
XT cranks and Pace chainrings
Ringle H20 - LX front mech - XT rear mech

It was bought as frame for £575 as I recall - and built up as and when I found the right bits. The spec hasn't really changed in many, many years - apart from the new rear wheel, fitted today.

Further pics of the Alu O
Can't believe I scored a NOS Hope Mono on a 517 last week for it - sweet!

And just for good measure, here's a couple of pics of my daughter's Orange Evo2.
15" Frame bought from eBay for about £30 - built up with a selection of lightish parts - Mavic 517s and some lovely Hutchinson Mosquito tyres.

That's a beautifully-preserved Aluminium O there. I think it's a 1991, but the serial number will reveal all.

Excellent little bike for your daughter, I'll bet it's a lot lighter than whatever she had before! I'm going to guess that she's 5-2 or so?
