Made a start planning the last NE&YORKS National Status Event of the year today. Pretty grim time of year to be riding on the moors so will be playing it safe around a trail centre

It has a little bit of a bonus though as the RAC Historic Rally is going through on the same day. So the format will be a morning blasting around Dalby Red and Black plus a few of our secret bits before lunch at Jingleby Tea Rooms before the downhill blast into Langdale to watch Escorts, Porsches, SAABs, Lancias etc flat out through the woods for an hour. We will then climb back up into Dalby and onto the red for the excellent Riggs & Dales section before a tea time finish in the Cafe and a look around Pace's new showroom and museum.

Should be a grand day out. Not that we will see any MacRetro types. :roll:

Today I bought a Carbonology tube repair kit for the Giant Cadex frame. I hate spending cash on stuff I dont understand so hopefully it'll be as easy as they say it will :roll: I suspect most of the top tube will need stiffened and repaired not just the obvious wee crack as I think I've found another wee crack further along :?

Si, great though Dalby is, by the back end of November I'll be tucking myself up for the winter, too far, too cold :roll:
