And today I did......

Sorry to hear that Si, despite my numerous ailments they've not blown my ability to cycle oot the water yet. Auld age disnae come itsel as my gran often said

Productive weekend saw the GT Safety Bicycle partially built.

Still need to source a few bits and pieces; brake cable inner, front mech, new pads, seat post (the one pictured is wedged in with cardboard) etc.

Dependent on parts should be finished mid-Oct. :)

Terrible news Si :( , hope it works out ok for you

The GT "Safety Bicycle" is looking pretty good, different, was'nt sure when pictured as a bare frame but looking cool complete

As Mikee said, that rear mech looks like it's gonna pop

Tried riding with elasticated support bandages around my wrists this morning. Just a short blast so not very conclusive. Didn't make much difference tbh.
Spent the rest of the day getting the Alfa ready for it's new owner. All those little jobs, creaks and rattles all sorted out now. It's sad that a car is never as good as the day you sell it.
I did plan to buy a new bike to cheer myself up this weekend once the car goes. Until I see the consultant that plan is now on hold. I think I might get drunk instead.
