Kestrel MXZ - White with Black Zebra Stripes

I had a Kestrel MXZ back in, umm, 1992 I think. I got bored of the cable rub on the headtube and decided in a 16 year old moment of madness to have the whole bike sprayed in white, with black zebra stripes.

Started reminiscing about it the other day, and stumbled on this fantastic site!

So, has anyone ever seen that bike? Believe me, you would NOT miss it.

Last known location was Hebden Bridge (West Yorkshire - UK).

anyone familiar with the hebden bridge area in west yorkshire ???

there used to be a shop which was (don't laff) half hairdresser and half bike shop - think the hair bit was called hair team, can't remember what the bike bit was called - i traded the kestrel in there, for an orange aluminium elite, with full xc-pro micro drive and mag-21's

anyone know of it's existence, whether it closed down?

daveaasmith, that sounds like a great colour scheme, I was gonna go for something similar, a cow theme on the black kestrel with zoom brahama bars and a pink 'udder' area bottom bracket , :? getting condoms small enough to fit underneath would be difficult though, never mind getting em to stick

ooooooh, exciting, i've got some old footage on video tape of the zebra, thanks mum!

apologies for the poor quality, but i think it gives some idea what it looked like.........hope it's still alive........
