This was my first mountain bike - I saved for months for this. Good that I still held on to it after all these years.
The 500LX groupset pretty much died and in 1993 I swapped over my sisters rarely used Alpine Stars full DX groupet over to this frame. I then decided it was a good idea to spend 200 quid on the original Quadras when they came out. I was soooo excited when I got them. Bloody rubbish they were.
Got some Mavic M231cd with 'unused' Ground Control tryes on XT hubs a couple of months back to make it look good again.
Thought I'd take a pic and feature it on here.
