Anyone ever looked at the bike's on the police auctions just looking some possible bargains.

i have one
my cannondale (i have a project thread for it in readers bikes)
i scored it for 30 notes, in pretty awful condition, but the frame is sound and i rode it like that for a year, so i figure it owes me nothing - it's had a hard life so time to give it some big love. in truth i just bought the cheapest thing i recognised the name on.
my cousin has bought several recent konas, all have needed love but are good bikes.

you have to pick up from area selling it though thats the only thing puts me off seeing a goodun in a place thats a nightmare to get to.

i had an apollo for a 1 mile run from station to uni. i used to lock it with one of those chain locks that you can pick by feel (the 4 digit combination ones)
i got to the station one day, to see the bike with its back wheel kicked in. someone had taken the lock.
