Slingshot

Yes this frame had delamination along the fibers of the fiberboard.
At the time I contacted the new SlingShot people and they were not doing
refurbs on old models. Through Mtbr Got a few names and eventually:
Scott Quiring.
He has some old fiberboards and was able to do the paint and board replacement.
As for alignment....time will tell.

Can I ask you haw much you spent?

Scott charged me $180 for paint and $50 to fit the board.
He is also giving me 3 extra boards.
There is also the shipping (that I got work to cover).

Not bad. The only problem is shipping from Italy...

Got the frame home on the Tube. I think there was a Klein on the tube also.

how about a Klein MC 1? Nice finish, light and normally in black (sold as an after market option BITD)

Ooo I thought the Roo bar looked great, do you think it is too large?
There seemed to be somthing in the shape of it that reflected the shape of the frame really well.
I suppose the bar will have less visual presence once the shifters/levers are on and everything will blend a bit more.
I did try to find a MC stem bar but was really happy when I found the Roo.

Frame/wheels/post and crank  look awesome in black.

Not sure about the Roobar though. I see your thinking - continue the strong bold line of the Sling's toptube into the stem - but I think a nice Syncros would look much better.

Only my opinion - but love your work. Look forward to seeing progress on this one.
