The P7's going fine, thanks. Tried rigids on it for a bit but it's now back on the Girvins. I have a set of RC30s too, but need a longer steerer before I can try them.
The P7 has been taking a back seat this weekend as I've just built up a new road bike based on one of the bargain-basement Taiwan-built Colnago frames (£280 for the frame and forks from Wiggle!). It's pretty darn good too. I shudder to say it but I think it may even be better than my old Master Olympic. :shock:
Only downer is the weld finish quality is a tad disappointing in places.
Your P7 is indeed special if you've owned it since new.
Yes, this bike came from a now (recently) defunct cambridge bike shop... It started as a P7 Alivio with STXrc shifters, hubs and cassette to get 8 speed, mavic 221 rims, and the last of the 1997 RS MAG 21's...
