it turns on, but doesn't like too let me use my volume control, and the mic part of the EQ affects letting the speakers work properly, and and i don't know for sure that both speaker cable things work...

the old unit works on sort of a combi plug, the new one on a regular plug, you plug the full system into the new base unit, and nothing will work at all. it all turns on, but no noise
