Thetford 29/8 aftermath

Good ride today, even the after lunch rain didn't dampen some of our enthusiasm. Good to see some new faces and even better to find some new singletrack, the hidden trial that Average Mark directed us to is a beauty - just how it used to be years back

sorry if i left any one out i always forget names

i got to thetford for a pre-ride with average mark at 8am and meet with matt from timbur got 10mins into the brandon ride and pop a flint had completley split open the tread with a 4inch gash booo hisss :x :x so i walk back to brandon country park cafe bike in hand while phoning lou74 "please bring a tyr with you i just popped mine arrhhh"

so after fitting a lou's tyre we rode the brandon side it was dry and fast average mark lead us though some new sections he and matt had riden earlier we all had a cracking time as the single track was dry and really smooth and fast with loads of swoop swoops and little jumps after a quick bite back at the brandon cafe we headed out into the woods again on the thetford side to ride the red route, all was going great until the weather started to change and the rain started then all of a suddern my wheel started to go all over the place i look down and just my luck the side wall of the tyre lou gave me started to go and a bulge started so i had to limp back with jango to car park and crafty tea break while the others finished the red route

all in all a great day for all

O and great ride! we all owe Matt (?) a big thanks for the cheeky trails. Good to see new people and lets see if we can get the numbers up for the next meet!
