I keep coming across items and forum subjects that I click on from the 'Home' page and immediately get told that this subject does not exist. It it the old communist ethos of "all forum members are equal, only some are more equal than others?" Who's clothing do I have to touch the hem of? Or is my PC just tadgered (again?)

It may be because of spam posts that we have to clean out constantly or incorrect postings that people request to have removed.

We try to keep the forum as clean as possible without too much censorship etc.

It would be full of cr*p otherwise.

May not be a bad idea to have a 'Sticky' for the quotes though. There's a whole lot of memories in forum land! You could then use the best.
