Pending size and condition I might bite, the 92' LX was my first proper alpinestars.

Thats beautiful mate, just like the one I had - definately have to get one again sometime.
I thought you'd all like this, this is the ad I kept from when I bought my Alpinestars back in the day.

Nice scan Riddler, brings back memories of lusting over them in the magazines.
From researching the alpinestars brand recently for a presentation at the OWMTBC, I learned that the bikes were built in batches in Taiwan (which probably explains the differences on same year bikes, i.e. the astars stamp on the front mech boss on some but not all 1992 bikes). The bikes were then sent direct to the distributors around the world. At the end of the year the bikes were sold off at vastly knocked down prices just to clear them off the stock lists.
