1996 GT Zaskar LE (12.5" XS)

Nice ! If it were a bit more local I'd be tempted to strip it for parts for my own Zaskar.

Tho the wife would kill me if I bought any more bikes at the mo.
 
quick question:

did the smaller zaskar frames come with rounded end caps for the top tube, since most came with a flat end cap?

thanks...might place a couple bids on this.
 
It was one of these that sparked a huge debate in here a while back iirc??

I'd love to score one of these for #2 bratling one day.

Not this year though...
 
I've been asked a few times about the "GT cap" on the top tube as well as the markings on the dropouts. The top tube cap is rounded and the inside of the drive side dropout says "6061" The serial number and size is on the outer side of the non-drive side dropout (as pictured).

This bike is being sold for the original owner. She had to custom order it due to the small size (which is why it doesn't come with the standard kit parts as the other Zaskar LEs from this year...the frame was ordered separate and the shop pieced it together).
 
so are we now saying that these are zaskars - the last thread got a bit nasty with the seller being called a rip off and a fake...??

Seeing these appear both sides of the atlantic now Im inclined to think it is a zaskar
