Looks like the plan is in motion.

I think we could open up a new thread. Ill post some of my early industrial design sketches here - so all who are interesting in contributing etc please do!

If we all contribute to this Im sure we could produce something really quite special...

I'll put a thread up shortly...

Looking forward to helping, by trade im a design development engineer working mainly in solidworks, and will be happy to lend time and skills to a retro-product project.

(And if any one else needs anything doing my hourly rate is cheap :p )

Actually it would be intersting to see what skills we all have: Post your skills here...

Im a supposedly qualified industrial designer but I went the way of the web a long time ago.

I'm a production engineer working for a CNC Subcontractor, making parts for the oil/gas industry, aero engines and various defence companys.

I specialise in visual communication systems for children with autism. I can do you some nice pictures of stick men doing stuff....

I'll get me coat

I dont think we should copy anything anyway. Seems silly to do that.

Maybe use it as a template to improve on - and add a modern twist perhaps with a retro nod.

Maybe start with something a little simpler than a rear mech. Possibly start with a set of cantis or something to see how it works with pooling resources...
