Coyote 4X-XC hack

Well after the demise of my fav bike, you can read here http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=111490
So i needed a new bike by this weekend as I have a ride on. I russelled up a few parts and built this. With the thomson post at full extension it's the perfect size for me. Frame is a little steep being a 4X frame so it's going to make it interesting out at the XC track

Nice - sort of Chameleon-esque.

Needs that brake hose shortened though.......

LOL yeah it's going to the shop tomorrow to sort the brake hose length...
If it goes alright at the xc track it's going to make a good alround bike hopefully.

The RST's on the front are Gila Pro's. They actually work very very well and have an amazing lockout! Flick the switch and solid as! :D

Looks good - always fancied one of those back in the day. Agree about the Gila Pros too. I bought the non-lockout version very cheaply recently for a hack bike - nice to see a pair of inexpensive forks with rebound adjustment that actually works.

To the bloody shop !!!! ????
Nah, just buy the bits and do the job yourself, yessir.

How long is the post? Hope there's enough left in the frame.

Interesting to hear positive RST comments too.

Like the frame, agree it looks very chameleon esque

The seatpost is a 410mm thomson. It's on the max line, so should be alright.
Yeah I was surprised about how well the forks work. I got given them after my mate converted his bike to rigid...
Heading out later on today for it's first offroad excursion :D
