Shortly after I posted that I wish I hadn't... I really should have learned from my Ssingltrackmind and biketragic days that some topics are just not worth getting involved in.

i have ridden a full sus santa cruz heckler (old style model) for 4 years now and i loved it but it was a bit energy sapping uphill. Took the missus' s-works m2 out last weekend and i couldnt believe how harsh it was - but it was a very entertaining ride - more so than the santa cruz.... so ive chopped the cruz in and bought a hardtail!!
wonder if il regret it! hopefully not!!

Dom i think you may have missed the point!

You dont chop in you add. I had a santa cruz superlight for a few years and it was fantastic fun.
But you cant beat a hardtail.Hope you have some good shorts though!!

lol - well yes - i still have it sat in my front room!
its just if i have too many bikes i have no where to keep them! got 7 at the mo between me and my bro so its getting tight for space!!
