1958 Carlton Constellation

Similar, however as far as I know the Lindrick lugs were only used by Carlton in the 1950s.

I took a few better ones day whilst not raining - for a change!

I finally took this bike out for a ride on the roads today. Apart from needing to adjust the spacing on the rear axle so that the wheel is 5mm closer to the rear mech side, everything else was OK. The mech wont change to the biggest sprocket just yet and there is no more adjustment available. Apart from that everything is sound...

I took a few pics of it next to my 1981 Suzuki TS100ERX - another retro bike of mine!

Im thinking of fitting some lightweight Bluemels gaurds as well.

Last pictures of the bike now - so i wont bore you any more!

Fitted some SKS/Bluemels gaurds. I consulted the last owner for the colour that was fitted and he confirmed it has silver Bluemels for most of its life.

Fitted a new rear solid axle and all seems to be Ok with the bike now. I will now focus my attention to my Continental which is being overhauled and cleaned.

Enjoy.

Out for an early 10 miler this morning, grabbed a few pics of the bike. I have now managed to obtain a period Ever Ready rear lamp.
