WANTED - bolt to attach light fitting to vintage forks

I went to see my bolt supplier and he told me that these have a very specific thread - and this guy knows his threads!

I have a surplus of light fittings, so I'm happy to swap one for a bolt or two (but you'll need to get the rust off!)

I've used a cotterless axle end bolt on my Pennine. Had to shorten it a bit but the thread seemed OK.

Apparently the bolt should be 5/16 26tpi, the same as the the old imperial front hub axle thread.

They're not that rare, a quick search came up with:

I used to have one on a bike, I remember having to use a Whitworth spanner to turn it.
