A couple of carpet dwellers. The Mk2 Chopper dates from 1977 and has had shed loads spent on it to make it near show standard.
The Mk3 was a buy from about 5 years ago when Raleigh launched the revised Chopper - always wanted one as a kid so I couldn't resist it!.

Not everyone's cup of tea but it is retro!

I had a original purple chopper, but once the the excitement was over, i soon went back to my 5 speed Sun racer. I would of been about 12 years old at the time.
What year did the Chopper come out?.

USA 1969, UK 1970/71

My first ever bike was a de-stickered Budgie, the teeny tiny version of the Chopper, in pale blue. It had a sticker saying "Alycidon" on the down tube. I can still remember my dad's voice telling me he'd still got hold of the seat rail, going from loud to quiet as I pedalled off on my first stabiliser free ride. It was full of win, and gave me a long standing prejudice against same sized wheels...
