Show us your late 90s DH bikes

Apologies for the pinkbike links. The original photo's are on an old computer somewhere.

Turner Burner DH. This is what the Kona Misser replica was based on. 4" travel on a DH bike! Possibly the best handling bike I've ever ridden though. This frame was from mid-90's but built here with more modern bits.

Amazing disc brake bodge

Eventually used some Psylos with a proper mount.

Sadly the frame died after my (now) wife rode it in Morzine/Les Gets (cracked around seat-tube/bb junction). The rear stays lived on when bolted to a Turner XCE front end though :D

There's some pics of my Santa Cruz Super8 in there as well. It was the later version from 2003ish.

Some proper classics in here

wow, 2 shocks??

are them carbon parts just frame protectors or part of the frame support??

do you still have this beast??

;) ;)

No its all genuine carbon and yes I still have it

Its actually mentioned on page 18 of the above thread as well, seems there are just 2 of them, mine and the guy who builds them development bike.

He also made this one as well which he setup to run 29 inch wheels and sub 35lbs - seem to think he hit 32 in the end which is pretty light for a DH bike
