Bum. Involved in a M/C event that day. Shame as the Fountain is the first real building through the woods from me. About 3 mins in a hurry.

Will try and make it - tooks pics @ SSEC - so at least I know where it is!

The boss may have plans - but that may be caravanning in the FoD!!!

M.

Sorry guys, because of other stuff cropping up I now won't be able to make this one - which is a real shame - my first retrobike rideout on the doorstep. Ian

Would like to do this ride but.......
been off the bike for many years, getting legs back but still a bit fat.
Do you wear helmets? Haven't got one yet.
What are skinwall tyres?
What other excuses can I come up with?

While this is an inclusive ride it's not really for people who haven't ridden in years.

You will need a helmet.

Skinwalls are just tyres with amber or skin coloured sidewalls rather than black as now. Any tyres will be fine.

daj, I stopped riding in 95, back then I raced and was quite fit.
Got overweight over the years, so at beginning of this year began riding again. Slowly losing weight and getting fitter, but know there's a way to go yet. Also been out of touch with all things cycling, so assume things have changed, as in the wearing of helmets etc (less common in 95).
As I'm new to the forum I have no idea of the pace of these rides.
Think I'll wait till next year so I don't embarrass myself

Sorry didnt mean to offend i was referring more to the skinwall question

Where are you from? pop into the south/west midlands area and make yourself known for other rides
