Old School Grand Master
following an accident a mate needs some new brake levers (not STIs). His previous were exage, white hoods and concealed cables.
He needs something similar, prefers shimano for comfort, rather than campag, and as its a daily workhorse, needs to be cheap

I said I'd ask for him, as he knows nowt technical about bikes
 
a bit above his budget I'm afraid. The bike's a real clunker and for not much more, Ive offered him some 8 speed ergos
 
cheers for the reply Ned. I'll let you know next week - I'm going to rummage at the York rally saddle bag sale this weekend and see if I can get him some levers (and other bits) to keep his bike going for a few more years.
