Wanted 1" silver a-head stem

I've just bought a second hand Condor Classico frameset but its come with forks that have a threadless steerer and I really want threaded :?

My only other option is to find an 1" a-head stem either chromed or polished alloy but I can only find ones that look pig ugly on a skinny tubed road bike :?

Anyone got some suggestions of suitably svelte looking stems before I bite the bullet and pay £130 for the threaded forks :?:

Its got to be 1" as a shimmed 1" 1/8th looks too bulky :? and about 100mm long ;)

Cheers
Steve

ITM Eclypse in 115mm any good? Had it on my Alan while I was waiting for some threaded forks.... Yours for £12 posted....

Cinelli Gramo look fantastic(although difficult to find)
Cheapest option would be to get a good bike shop or frame builder to shorten the steerer tube and cut some threads in it.
£20 last time I had it done.

I strongly agree with this plan.

Just be sure it's not an alloy steerer with a tube thickness that won't let you put a stem in in it....
