what are the tabs on the bb shell? guide tabs?

Yep ISCG mounts, standard on all modern DH rigs.

That doesn't realy explain the no drive side tab though. What's that one for?
agree, also i thought iscg mounts were 3 holes?

I think it's excellent as no other team is running this colour and therefore the exposure Nick gets will be great :D

I haven't been advised but would expect it to be for a floating disk mount bar.

It can be used to ensure the tabs are not broken or bent, and also to ensure the guide doesn't twist. Not sure if that is his exact intention, but other companies have done it. When you introduce a mount on the opp side, and both sides are connected via bolt, it creates something much stronger than just a tab on one side. Just my guess anyways. IMO, just something more to break off the frame.

On the bottom of the swingarm? That will be the first part to get smashed in, then there is no riding until the rear brake is removed if it does. Should always be up high, above the swing arm to keep it out of the way.
