Forget the new ones...china made Aluminum junk.

Find a classic chromo model, born from Greendale, you'll be much happier.

cheers,

I agree 100%. The new ones are outsourced soulless overpriced piles.

A mid 90's Slinger with the factory rigid fork are best.

Like this one then? (but with some Accutrax or something....)

Yeah, that one's a 93. If you can get the stock Slingshot fork, its similar to the Accu Trax fork but not quite as stiff.

I think the quality Slings go until...about the late 90's early 2000's.

Actually, I find the fact that it drifts in corners an advantage... Maybe I'm not overskilled, but I have the impression that it sets the rear for the turn, don't know if I'm very clear here.
I admit the frame is an oxymoron on two weels, but it works quite well, especially on rocky climbs, which abound where I live...

Think it sounds like it needs to be tried to be appreciated. I reserve judgement.

There's definitely a slight learning curve (or adjustment period) to riding one. You won't notice it around the parking lot...but open it up and there's something there.
