Large box shows price tag over CHF 945 (around USD 850)

looks move like Fr 945 on the label not CHF, meaning it would be about $160 using 1993 exchange rate which sounds a little more sensible for that time!
 
No idea about Swiss money, but I recall full Zap was about 1/3 more expensive than Shimano's or Campag's top of the line offerings were I lived.
 
last week on french forum there was a nos Zapp system with nos Mavic brakes ( lever and calipers ) for 100 euros . my french bank account is empty otherwise would have bought it . :LOL:
