1997 GT LTS-3

Looks older than a '97? From what I remember the DS bikes came out in '97?

I'd put it down as a '96 LTS2. (The LTS 3's had elastomor rears).

At a guess?

DS was 98 on
LTS 3 s had elastomers til 96, then in 97 had a coil rear. The elastomer moved further down the range.

Sorry to dig this up, but I just purchased the exact bike! Do have any finished pics of the rehab?

Best,
Rich

Hello Rich,

Afraid not, I looked more into the costing of a new shock and complete bushes and decided against the build so its hanging in the garage now looking for a new home.

Cheers

Dave

Bummer.

Well I gave it the ole 'lean over the seat and cycle the suspension a bit' seemed pretty tight. I guess I wont know til I get it on the trail if it needs new bushings all around and a shock rebuild.

thanks for the quick reply!

Rich.
