Hi,

On the shifter you see a long grey bit. It can be moved. On one side there is a + and on the other a -. Both shifters have it.

Were is it for???

Wasn't it supposed to increase shift tension, ie move it to the '+' and it's harder to shift, move it to the '-' and it's easier.

Actually so far I never noticed any difference in shifting  I will take my bike out the shed this afternoon and try to discover whether what you're thinking it is is noticably working.

To be continued

Yes, it was to increase the amount of effort it required to shift. Don't know if this was to prevent accidently changes that everyone seemed to complain about with gripshift systems when climbng. Not something i ever had a problem with.

When I said 'supposed to increase shift tension', what I should have said was 'they said it's supposed to increase shift tension', I never noticed any difference either!

Hi,

Thanks for you're both input

I made a ride tonight and I especially paid attention to that supposed function. I again did not notice any difference!

I hate buttons, switches without function :x

It made a slight difference on mine when they were brand new.

After a month though, it made no difference.
