5/5/2010 20:00 - Retrobike Global Night Ride - Aftermath

We, in south Poland, haven't good weather for riding this evening.... Was cold and raining But two riders join to global night riding - me and Pit (he's user of polish forum, not from here)
We had 95% off road, muddy course with up and down hills
Pit have some photos, not so good (rain and night aren't good for photograpy ;) ), but we'll can show You how we ride tonight!

(now in Poland is 10:40PM ;-))

Nice post to read

Just back from a local time trial. Set off at 7.48pm and rode for 21" and a bit, so was on the bike at 8pm (it felt horrible though  ).

Not much retroness on this bike apart from a purple SRP ti bolt at the front (and BRAD at the rear!) :D

UK-
Most excellent weather here :D
Kona went out for its first ride straight out of the Kitchen from fixing it up, finally after many many months.
End of steet and my arse is numb.. Kona Lite seats are well crap (I did find it hanging up in my dads garage, from BitD I guess) harder and more uncomfy than sitting on a rock.
Seat was painful for all the ride so stayed off the bumpy stuff mostly.
Headed off to Humber Bridge, crossed it to Lincolnshire, came back to East Yorkshire and met some Beavers and Cubs taking up the whole of the Bridge path. Halfway back across the old Bridge I set up for my 8:00pm shoot and got it.
Headed back via a coffee at my parents and back home now.

of course this laptop has decided to not read my SD card at the moment, so pics will be tommorow.

Bikes nice, needs work  but held together.

The rides

Dragged myself oot on my old Raleigh MTB Team and reached the edge of Bonally Country Park and the Pentland hills my BITD stomping ground at 8pm precisely so took this pic.

To the right is Bonally and Edinburgh where I've come from, to the left is the path to Glencorse over the Pentland hills and homeward on some rather nice single track.
A good night out :D
