Look forward to meeting you. The village hall car-park at 7.00

Likewise Rob, my name is Rich by the way (forgot to introduce myself)
How do we know who's who?

Should i wear a particular flower in my button hole? or be carrying a certain newspaper?

Not sure how it works, i've never met strangers off the internet in a carpark!
Honest ;)

Jodie says 'Cos it's you Rob...but after this one I'm charging'

Not sure my riding is extreme enough to warrant a bash-ring :?

It just stops your chain slipping off in the big gears. You will need one if running 1x9. I'd be upset if I bashed mine

Just have a bike with you, ideally not working very well, and we'll spot you!

Aagh, I did wonder, but can't work out how. :?

Just like the cage in a front mech stops the chain from derailing the 'bash guard' and a 'jump stop' do the same job. It just keeps the chain on the front when in high or low extremes.

Last Tuesday my chain came off three times...with my new, handcrafted bash guard, not once ;)

I'm bloody pissed off about missing the ride tonight.

By the time I got home at 6.30 I felt much better but it was too late and I'd forgotten to charge my light anyway (although it would probably have lasted)...

Bugger
