It's all your fault!

What's happening to me. Desires dormant since the early nineties are returning ever stronger (and backed up by a bit more cash!) All I signed up for was to get a bit of advice on getting old Rockshox brake bosses (got 'em), and now I want to buy a Breezer!! Expert advice please, what sizes were they? (I have always ridden 19.5") Are there any specialist websites? What faults (if any) do I need to look for? What sort of price?

Can't help you with Breezers, but I was only passing through, got stopped and 8 bikes later am still here...

speaking as another noob, this forum does seem to have that effect. i was really quite happy with my 2-bike fleet until i got here. now i want, in no particular order

a DBR Axis TT in team colours
a nickel orange P7
a cannondale super v
an explosif (though, to be fair, that'snothing new)

i'm sure i'll think of more, but the combination of a forthcoming payrise and getting my garage back means..... oh dear.

This one is still a baby site but a few breezers are on it, no forum but it has links to the mtb-katalog site with some of the catalogues.

Thanks so far! That website hasn't reduced my yearning! Bad news, the wife has just seen my message and threatened a bike in, bike out policy. OK but it's her Rock Lobster first!! Either that or the F27 lotus replica is for the chop. I havn't been able to drive it since the twins were born anyway. Then I can really add to the fleet!!

I too stumbled by looking for some elastomers for my RC35's that were on my marin team from bitd. I know have 3 bikes in my appartment and have to keep telling myself no every time i see something shiney.

Here's a link to Breezer catalogs '93-'98.

In '96 the frames went from being built of Ritchey Logic Prestige to in-house Breezer D'fusion tubing. I definitely prefer the Ritchey tubed Breezers over the '96 and later D'fusion frames which didn't feel as whippy to me.

In certain climates the decals, though under clear coat, tended to flake. Living in the American Southwest I've not ever experienced this problem, so it may have something to do with higher humidity environments.

Though they did not come in as many sizes Breezer frames shared almost identical geometry with similar sized Ritcheys of the time. Reviews tended to tout the ride quality of Breezer frames as the best out there.

A 17" Breezer Lightning/Jetstream frame weighs 3.4lbs.

I've a '95 Lightning, '95 Jetstream, '95 Storm, and a '95 Venturi in my stable. They really are some of the best riding hardtails I've had the pleasure to throw a leg over.

Yup- I was lookin' for Proflex MCUs, and came across a linky for here.....now I've got an XPx frame, lookin' out for crosslinks or even Fournales to start off the rebuild.

And I found out my 555 wasn't 'old' anymore- it's Original Spec Retro!!
