Its been quite awhile since this was started, but now its gone to the paintshop thought id share some pre-paint shots.

Custom made for me with Columbus Spirit tubing and s-steel P2 lugs.

Its been a real labour of love and think it deserves some modern but old school looking parts.

Royce hubs, PMP cranks, Leather saddle/bar tape

ill update as it progresses.

If I understand correctly it will be a fine, partially chromed frame from Richards Sachs? :)

seeing it bare metal like this almost makes me feel it sould have been completely chromed and not painted! But I'm sure a nice bold colour will really make the lugs pop, I'll be keeping an eye on this topic to see how it turns out!

Lovely

That looks beautiful
So please tell, whats the details of the paint?
If it was me, I might go for a metalic red for the tubes, polished lugs and 3/4 chromed chainstays. But its not, so I await your choice ;)

The lugs are stainless and dont look half as shiny in the pics as they actually are :(

Many man hours were spent polishing the machined factory surface/finish on these lugs!

The place i works frame buider lovingly built this to my spec. Aint he a gem?

I wont tell the colour ive gone for but it was a really hard decision to make. It will be one colour though and very traditional but with the modern ride qualities i want.

Ill keep updating :)

Update

got it back last week and im so pleased with the results.

the colour is much nicer in the flesh.

The next pictures ill post will hopefully be of the finished bike.
