Rock Shox Judy XC - leg replacement

I have some '96 Judy XC's. Can i replace the legs with the NOS blue SID ones on ebay or are the internals all different?

Sorry but fork mechanics remain a mystery to me!
 
It should be no problem. The tubes are the same size.
I still want to build a 98 SID with a carbon crown. And have a 97 Judy XC where I build in SID inners. Should just work fine and looks different.
 
i'm assuming then that "modern" judy uppers will fit into old-school judy lowers?
 
the stantions are the same diameter, I've seen judy FSX lowers on SID uppers, so I guess its possible
 
You can replace whole stantion and leg assembly, ie exchange crowns, but think the internals will be way different for legs only.
 
I have to try that. I think it's possible to change the downtubes if you want to change the inner works you have to change to innertubes aswell.
I have an 97 Judy, but the innerwork is totally gone.
What should i do with it?
Sell the downtubes? They still look really good, but the inner work is all gone.

Maybe someone like the legs for a project.
