One early 1991 ish rear Hope hub with disc brake, laced to a 32H 1st generation Mavic 517 SUP rim.
I have fully overhauled this hub and brake. I fitted new SKF sealed bearings to the hub, the disc has been keyed in, is arrow straight and is ready to run with absolutely no wear to it at all. The caliper has been stripped and degreased, new pinchbolt nut fitted and all adjusted ready to roll. The pads are like new with 2.5mm on each, so many happy miles of braking awaits.
I built it up tonight with the 517 rim and its running true and central. All you need is a freewheel, tyre and tube.
No idea what its worth, so offers invited.

As a sweetener, I will through in a Ritchey Z-Max 1.9 amber wall tyre into the deal.
Try an offer, I wont be insulted.
Will be on ebay 8.30pm tonight otherwise.

Is this on ebay yet? I couldn't find it, or have you sensibly decided to put it on a show bike.

For reference I reckon it is at least a late 92 or 93, the early ones didn't have a spider for the disc.

They originally sold with the slogan...

"If you haven't got one of our brakes you haven't got a Hope!"

And a nifty £180 price tag for the front, and I think £220 for the rear.
