FWIW,
I think the cost of a cool klunker sneaks up on you. The nature of the bike is such that each piece is bought seperately. ...
Cheers,
T

Speaking of creeping costs, the wheels came back from the builder today :D

SA couldn't come up with an XL-FD front hub, so I went with the regular X-FD.

My buddy got the white on tonight. We'll get the black on next week.

First a coat of gray acrylic sealer, followed by three coats of Ford Cortina White urethane

I'm really enjoying this build! You're doing a great job documenting each step. Can't wait to see the finished product. ;)

Black paint is on.

I'm still on the fence about pin-striping it...

About 10 days before I can polish out the paint lines.

That's fanfriggintastic young man!!!

It's my birthday on 29 June and I'm 21 and I don't have a bicycle and I'm poor and that's my favouritist colour and I would take care of it and...

al. ;)

J,
This is really looking good. You are going to outdo your last build which was itself awesome....

If it was me (and it's not) I'm thinking red pinstripe and the red Schwinn watersticker on the seatube to accent those rims.....

Keep it up.......
