There is a frame boss one the bottom of the mono stay,i imagined that just the two fixings [the bosses]werent enough to stiffen it completely and a three point fixing was best for that job.It was a bugger to find a brace long enough to reach the stay boss.Im happy that that area is stiff enough for disc brakes.
