Not quite how I'd have ideally wanted it but I take consolation in the fact that it is going to be a rider. Although the ss always seems to be my preferred bike. 
I've spent the afternoon in the garage throwing all the parts together, some parts suit - others aren't perfect but hey, they'll do for now. I just wanted to get the thing together.
Now all it needs is a test ride.
