Helicopter tape, does it do what it says on the tin??

I was wondering if to get some of this for my newly sprayed frame to protect her beauty. Is it as good as they say and should I cover all of her in this protective blanket or just the most likely to be injured parts?

I've used similar stuff on cable rub spots and chainstays to protect against heal rub and chain slap. Works very well

Yep I use a protective tape on painted frames around the headtube and around the top of the seat tube. I use cricket bat protection tape which I think is pretty similar but easier to get hold of (more shops around here sell cricket bats than helicopters...)
