Sachs torpedo duomatic

So i've just bought a job lot of hubs 2 unknown 3 speeds and 3 torpedo duomatics.

This could get expensive I want to learn to build wheels and am now considering a stand.

Any thoughts on what wheels to build with the duomatics.

How much strain does a hub brake arm put on a chainstay?

A twist not with two unknown three speeds. 1 s23c sturmey archer three speed... and a two speed s2 sturmey archer from 1968. Now to investigate some more. Now I have four two speed hubs...

Just realised you are in NZ.
I was looking for a Duomatic but I am in the UK.

Good luck with the projects.

Cheers ragnar been to hub stripping already, it is a great resourcfe

At this stage I am not planning on selling any of them. The 1968 Sturmey Archer S2 will go in a 700c wheel for my Vitus single speed to add a gear with no clutter.

I'll probably build another 700c and a 26 inch MTB wheel with 2 torpedo's and the third will be salted away for a bit until I get another bike to put it on.

But first to build up a practice wheel with some spare parts I have to check I have the needful skills.
